First Place for Youth held our annual Back to School Event for our young people from Alameda and San Francisco. In attendance we had 20 young people, as well as Employment and Education Specialists, Youth Advocates, and Managers. Young people learned tools to overcome common barriers towards education success, proactive preparation for the upcoming school semester, networking tips with instructors, classmates, school resources, and each other, and various other strategies and tools to succeed.  All participants received school supplies to get them started for the new school year.  The staff serving our Alameda and San Francisco young people did a wonderful job to make this event fun and successful for all.
