During this graduation season, we are so excited to celebrate all the educational milestones of the youth we serve!  

At First Place for Youth, we believe in the power of education and professional growth to change the life trajectories of transition age foster youth. We aim to support our young people on their academic journeys, whether that is receiving a high school diploma, pursuing post-secondary education, or learning valuable skills in our earn-and-learn programs. Every goal completed is a step toward self-sufficiency and a successful transition to adulthood!

Earlier this month, we kicked off the 2024 graduation season by celebrating our Solano County graduates. A huge shoutout goes to our incredible Solano ILSP team for hosting an amazing graduation ceremony to celebrate our Independent Living Skills Program (ILSP) and My First Place graduates. It was heartwarming to see so many smiles from our youth who were surrounded by their supporters and our dedicated staff. Congratulations to the Solano Class of 2024 – your hard work and perseverance have paid off!

Throughout June, we will host graduation celebrations across our programs, and for some, this may be the only recognition of their hard work.
