First Place for Youth’s Earn & Learn Program Achieves U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Status

First Place for Youth is proud to announce that our Business Technology & Administration Earn & Learn Program has been officially recognized as a Registered Apprenticeship by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). This designation affirms the rigor and quality of our training model and deepens our commitment to expanding equity in the workforce by equipping young adults with paid, hands-on experience, industry-recognized credentials, and clear pathways to long-term career success.

A Milestone That Expands Opportunity

For the young people we serve, many of whom are navigating the transition to adulthood while overcoming systemic barriers, this recognition is more than a badge. It is a proven bridge from potential to profession. This blend of education, experience, and support accelerates economic mobility, helping young people launch careers not just jobs.

Gratitude to the Teams Who Made It Possible

This achievement reflects the dedication and expertise of our contracts team, who shepherded the DOL registration process, and our program teams across California, who drive high-quality implementation every day. Their work ensures that our young people receive the best-of-class training experiences they deserve.
