Joined First Place: 2022
As First Place’s Director of Practice Development, DeAndra develops and drives our practice training, coaching, and co-learning agenda to support effective and innovative practice, with the intentional use of DEI principles in the ongoing development of First Place staff and network partners. She uses implementation frameworks, strategies, and approaches to assess and implement training and development activities related to core program components and best practices. DeAndra has been with First Place since 2015, previously serving in the roles of Youth Advocate-Social Worker, Social Work Lead, Interim Program Manager in Los Angeles, and Affiliate Support Manager supporting our national network partners.
Prior to joining First Place, DeAndra worked as an Emergency Response Social Worker at the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley.
