First Steps, a transitional support center, provides case management, educational and employment support, housing referrals and community resources for current and former foster care youth in a social setting designed to empower young people making the transition to independent living. First Steps, a drop-in training center, plays a pivotal role in supporting youth as they access workshops that address health, relationships, and communication; youth attend budgeting and finance classes; and young people receive one-on-one counseling and advocacy services to ensure they are able to make a successful transition into independence.
